The Captains drive-in was a great success with 48 members taking part so thank you all. Well done to the winners Clive Cook & Christian Godfrey and runners up Matt Brown & Vincent Korobzyk.
The first qualifying men’s competition of the season, The Silver Rabbit 1, was won by Jonathan Robertson with a solid net 64. The open stroke tournament was won by our new member from across the pond Joe Tomlinson with a net 66.
The biggest talking point this month has been the greens. I know we don’t like the greens being done at this time of the year but we will appreciate it next month when we will be playing on quality greens so please have faith in Nigel and Steve.
PLEASE could members not take out their frustration on Nigel & Steve when they are working on the course. Michael Murray’s course report will keep all members up to date so please read it.
The new BRS booking system is working very well now and most members are using it to their advantage. We are receiving more visitor bookings so another bonus for the club. Nick Stocking’s updates to the website are keeping us all informed so thank you, Nick, for the great work.
Sheets with the Midweek draws are now posted in the clubhouse, The Rive Rocks Centenary has now been re-arranged for Saturday 11th May instead of the donated prize with the entries now open online.
Jessica Rigby’s junior coaching lessons have had a good response with a good group already taking lessons so if you know of any friends who’s children might fancy taking golf up then why not mention this venture to them.
The Captains trip and Rabbits Captains trip sheets are in the foyer so please could you get your deposits paid ASAP as we do have to pay the clubs we are visiting a deposit to secure the bookings.
